2025 Evercore Spring Cleanup: A Day of Impact and Growth
On May 15, 2025, volunteers from Evercore, a leading global independent investment banking advisory firm, rolled up their sleeves and headed into the field for a day of hands-on service during the annual Spring Cleanup in partnership with Life’s WORC. This large-scale volunteer event brought energy and teamwork to various residential and program locations across Long Island.
This special event was led and organized by Life’s WORC board member Justin Resnick, whose leadership played a key role in bringing together corporate volunteers, staff, and resources to make the day a success.
Digging In: What Volunteers Accomplished
From planting vegetable gardens to constructing raised flower beds, the projects were as meaningful as they were productive. Volunteers:
Built and planted raised flower boxes at Life’s WORC’s HQ
Tilled soil and planted vegetables and flowers at multiple residential locations
Cleaned up outdoor areas and removed weeds
Washed agency vehicles
Cleared out a greenhouse at the Rosedale Residence
Constructed a new vegetable garden at HorseAbility
Each location had its own unique scope of work, with a dedicated team of volunteers led by site coordinators and supported by Life’s WORC maintenance staff. The work wasn’t just about landscaping—it was about pride, community, and showing the people supported by Life’s WORC that their homes and programs matter.
More Than Just a Cleanup
The 2025 Spring Cleanup was about more than just gardens and landscaping—it was a powerful example of corporate partnership, community investment, and shared purpose. Evercore’s commitment to giving back helped create lasting improvements in the homes and environments of people supported by Life’s WORC.
Thanks to Justin Resnick’s leadership and Evercore’s dedicated volunteers, the event made a meaningful impact across all locations and served as a model for how corporate and nonprofit communities can come together to create real, visible change.
