As part of Americana Manhasset’s Champions for Charity initiative, Life’s WORC teamed up with Theory for a very special kickoff event.

On Thursday, December 1, Life’s WORC staff, supporters, residents and program participants hit the runway at Theory in Americana Manhasset, modeling this season’s top fashion finds. The three-hour event also featured refreshments, a cashmere giveaway and of course, shopping.

The Champions for Charity program enables shoppers to register their “Champion Number,” linking it to a charity of their choice. When shopping at Americana Manhasset from December 1-3, 2022, participants simply present their Champion Number at checkout, and 25% of their full-price purchases are donated to the designated charity.

Life’s WORC was honored to have been selected as a Champions for Charity kickoff partner by Theory and Store Manager Katie Jo Herbert, who was drawn to the agency because of its mission and commitment to the community. Retail and Marketing Specialist Aubrey Reid helped coordinate the event along with Tina Moreno, Life’s WORC Director of Development.

Participating in the fashion show on behalf of Life’s WORC were program participants and residents Rachel, Emily, Michele, Chrissy and Amanda; and Life’s WORC Board Members and supporters Vanessa Rogan, Debbie Levine, Laura Smith, Robin Havens Ronnie Ruggierio Jr. and Colleen Loos. Staff also assisted and/or modeled, including Tina Moreno, Jennifer Velasquez, Lauren Gartenstein, Michelle Palmer, Shatiece Richardson and Fayona Ferguson. We appreciate all of their time and commitment to making this event truly special.

Thank you to Theory for partnering with Life’s WORC and helping extend our reach and mission.
