First Annual “Game on For Autism” Success
Jun 6, 2022
On Sunday, June 5, 2022, more than 300 children came out to play flag football at The Park at East Hills as part of the first annual “Game On for Autism” event.
Created by fifteen-year-old Justin Wasserman, who was inspired by his younger brother Jason Wasserman who has autism and attends classes at the Family Center for Autism, Game On for Autism was a day full of food, music, fun and of course, flag football. Boys and girls in grades 1-7 participated in games on four fields, coached and refereed by volunteer parents.
The event was a great success, raising over $25,000 that will be donated to the Family Center for Autism Scholarship Fund. Thank you to Justin Wasserman and the Wasserman family, as well as the many supporters who came out to enjoy the day.
