This month, Life’s WORC Director of Residential Services and DEIA Committee Chair Amanda Greaves, and VP of HR and DEIA Officer Natalie Longsworth attended and spoke at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women parallel event, “New Generation of Story Tellers & Leaders” at the UN Headquarters. They presented stories related to leading in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities world and bringing DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) to the forefront.
Life’s WORC was pleased to sponsor and have Amanda and Natalie participate with the organization as they offer year-round programs that support artists through mentorship, exhibition, and promotion as well as programs on gender equality, social justice, girl and women advocacy, helping rural communities specific to Africa and farmers with education, training, and workshops. We are not only proud to support this but these programs tie into the agency’s own DEIA initiatives and programming.
We would like to thank Edna Perkins from The Bread of Life Church for connecting us with the Commission on the Status of Women.
