Parent Perspective – Caroline & Victor Pisaniello
Caroline and Victor Pisaniello first learned about Life’s WORC and the many services offered when their son Andrew, now 25, was a young teenager. After being introduced to the organization at a school Transition Fair, they enrolled in some classes at what was then Life’s WORC’s Family Center for Autism.
Since then their connection to Life’s WORC has grown, and Andrew is thriving as a result. He still attends classes at the Family Center for Achievement, but is heavily involved in several Life’s WORC programs.
Andrew attends the East Rockaway Day Habilitation program, and twice a week he participates in Community Prevocational Training through Life’s WORC, providing him with both job skills training and new friends and connections. In addition, Andrew is a member of the Life’s WORC Cricut Club, which creates branded items available for sale in “The Store” in our Main Office.
Life’s WORC has been instrumental in making a difference in not only Andrew’s life, but his parents’ lives as well. Please view the video to hear directly from Caroline and Victor about what the organization means to them.
