Gather Around the Kitchen

Each class features age-appropriate menus, tools, & techniques and ends with students enjoying the meals they have prepared.

Children (Ages 6-11 years old)

Baking

Make cakes, muffins, cookies, breads, and scones, all while making friends! Participants learn how to measure, portion, cook, and decorate an array of baked goods that they will be able to bring home and show off to the family.

Food as Art

Create works of art using delicious ingredients. This class promotes creativity, socialization, peer relationships, teamwork and more. The best part is, you get to eat your masterpiece after class! This beginner program is focused on more simple, yet unique projects that challenge the imagination.

Tweens & Teens (12-17 years old)

Gain basic kitchen and safety skills in this beginner level class. Participants will make two delicious recipes while socializing with friends. Learn to cut with scissors, measure ingredients, and mixing skills while strengthening your ability to follow a recipe, take turns, and wait for your delicious creations to cook.

Food as Art

Adults (21 & up)

Join us in learning how to make a healthy and nutritious meal, side dish, and dessert while socializing with like-minded individuals, building social skills, and having a great time in the Family Center for Autism’s state-of-the-art kitchen.
