The Family Advocacy Committee shares ideas and find creative solutions to ensure quality supports are delivered throughout all of Life’s WORC’s programs. They are also discussing ways to offer education on topics that are meaningful to families within the organization and look forward to organizing efforts to show appreciation to the staff for all of the work that they do.

At Family Advocacy Committee meetings, guest speakers have been invited to share information on everything from Trust Services and stimulus funds to ways to volunteer. Recent family information sessions supported by the committee have updated family members about current staff retention and recruitment efforts of Life’s WORC, making sure that families are fully informed about Life’s WORC’s challenges and successes, and engaging their participation to help develop new ideas and solutions.

Robin stated, “This committee is very enthusiastic about helping families work closely together to collaborate with the agency.  We hope to advance the mission while presenting our ideas and concerns to achieve meaningful solutions.”
